Bonjour!

My name is Luke Hashman, and I’m a languages teacher based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. My specialism is French, but I also teach some Spanish at Key Stage 3. I also speak Italian, but haven’t taught it.

About me

I teach full-time at a secondary school in Hertfordshire, where I have worked since qualifying as a teacher in 2019. I have also worked as a GCSE examiner for the French speaking and writing exams.

I have a Master’s degree in Language Learning from the University of Southampton, where I specialised in second language learning methodology and worked as an HLTA in a local secondary school alongside my studies. Outside work, I volunteer for a community radio station in High Wycombe, where I sit on the board of directors. You can find out more about me here.

Tutoring

Since 2023, I have offered private tuition in French. I can offer online tuition using Microsoft Teams, or in-person tuition if you are based near Aylesbury, Tring, Hemel Hempstead or Watford.
